Board of Directors
Help lead our community.
Community Financial’s Board of Directors plays an essential role in guiding our mission and strengthening our impact across Manitoba. As a volunteer board member, you’ll help shape our strategic direction, uphold strong governance, and champion financial well-being in the communities we serve. If you’re passionate about equity, accountability, and meaningful community impact, we invite you to explore this leadership opportunity.
What Board Service Involves
Serving on the Community Financial Board of Directors is a meaningful volunteer leadership opportunity rooted in governance and community stewardship. As a Director, you help shape our strategic direction, steward financial and policy oversight, and support the long-term sustainability of the organization.
You’ll prepare for and actively participate in Board meetings, contribute to thoughtful discussion and decision-making, and serve on at least one committee. Board members also act as ambassadors for Community Financial, helping strengthen relationships and awareness in the broader community.
The Board meets approximately every six weeks, with a break during the summer months. We typically gather in person in Winnipeg, with remote participation available when needed. Directors commit to a two-year term, with the opportunity to renew. Committee work continues throughout the year depending on your involvement.
